Windward Mall's Easter Celebration with Salvation Army

Easter is a fun-filled, family holiday and Windward Mall celebrated the season with help from the Salvation Army. Keiki games were manned by Salvation Army volunteers and organization representatives were on-hand to accept monetary and canned food donations. This event fell on Saint Patrick's Day which made for an especially busy morning. My younger sister and brother came with me to volunteer, so it was a blast to work a station as a family.

There is something magic about meeting people and connecting with them, even if it's only for a few minutes. It's one of the main reasons I volunteer, and I don't have any plans to stop.

Most folks know the Salvation Army - Hawaiian and Pacific Islands as the "red kettle" bell ringing volunteers that you see during the holiday season. But there's so much more to what the Salvation Army does and who they serve. Please check out the website link above where you can find out more about their mission, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
